RING No. 212

Today's ring is made of a shell remanent that I found on the beach today and some silver thread that I brought in my ring making kit. Right now it is pouring rain and I am sitting in the car with my mom in the Parking Lot of the Edisto Bookstore. The bookstore is the only establishment that has free WiFi after hours that does not require a password. It has been Thunder storming for quite a while now. I met my shark tooth quota today! (at least 10 a day)....One of my favorite things about the beach is finding curious ocean objects, the most prized being teeth!....We are about to go back to the house and finish a game of Scrabble. Thanks for reading! Goodnight!

Materials: Shell remanent and thread
Dimensions: 2.5 x 1.375 x .5 inches

RING No. 210

Today I went out to my grandfather's farm and picked peanuts for hours. It was super fun. We got to talk about all kinds of things. Out in the country where he lives there is big open sky and the air is clean and clear. Although it was in the high 90s, we sat under a gigantic oak tree that supplied tons of shade and there was an amazing breeze. I am about to go to the Orangeburg Drag Strip! I haven't been there in 10 years!
Today's ring is made out of a bag that Lemons came in. I squeezed about 24 lemons today by hand! We are making a Lemon cake for the beach and homemade lemonade! Tomorrow is the big day! Woo Hoo! Edisto Beach here I come.

RING No. 209

After doing some chores around the house for my mom, I got to spend time with my sister Sarah and my cousin John. We went to Four Moons cafe for a late lunch and it was Delish! We got to chat for a while and it was very pleasant!

Today's ring is made from a metal piece that reads "Record and Destroy", "EP", and "1306". I found it at my sister's house in a box of my dad's old stuff. I asked him about it just now and he didn't have a clue where it came from. The band is a steel wire piece that my step-dad Sid gave me. Thanks Dad and Sid! I am about to go eat dinner with Grandy at Cracker Barrel. Yum! I need as much home cooking as I can get. :)

Thanks for checking in! Have a great day!

Materials: Steel, found metal object
Dimensions: 1.75 x .875 x .5 inches

RING No. 208

Today was a relaxing day. I sat around my sister Susanna's house and watched TV. I did a few chores for her, but mostly I was a couch potato. Today's ring is made from an Outlet converter thingy that Susanna gave me. I took it apart and configured two parts together to fit and make a two finger ring.

Only 2 more days until The Beach! I am so ready!

RING No. 207

Today, Susanna and I went on a field trip with my niece Braelynn (Susanna's daughter). It was a trip to the South Carolina Rail road Museum. We got to ride a train (5 miles). It was the First time I had ever been on a train! Today was Braelynn's birthday! Susanna and I stayed up the night before getting all the little surprises ready for when Brae woke up this morning. She was thrilled at all the stuff we put together....pipe cleaner animal rings....balloon dog and octopus.....and much more. After the train ride i came back to Susanna's and watched TV all day while her and Robert were at work and Brae was at school. It has been many years since I have just sat and watched TV. hahaha! It was awesome!....but I don't think I could do that often. I feel guilty because I am not accomplishing anything. However, I am on vacation, finally, so I am gonna live it up! :)

When Susanna got home, we (brae, me, sus) watched old home videos from when Brae was first born. 5 years ago! it was awesome! We saw Nanu (my grandma that just recently passed) as well as my great uncle Lloyd (who passed away shortly after Brae was born.) Braelynn just giggled at the sight of her as a newborn. I have been having so much fun being here with my family.

Tonight's ring is for Braelynn's Birthday! She turned 5 today, so there is a number 5 candle on the little cupcake. I love you Braelynn!

RING No. 206

I had the best sleep of the last few months last night! My mom's house is cool and quiet and it was perfect.......I got to hang out with my sister Sarah Beth today. We had Zaxby's and TCBY which were both delicious. I used to love going to TCBY and my fave flavor was always blueberry cheesecake or white chocolate mousse. They rarely have the BC when I come to town though. Afterwards, we went to my grandfathers to pick up the remaining puppies (1 was adopted and 2 had passed away last week) to take them to the SPCA. When we went out to the fence, Bear (the fluffy one and SB's favorite) wasn't moving. Sure enough, he was no longer with us. :(.......It was very sad......My favorite is Socks. I wish I could take her home with me. She is a chocolate cinnamony color and is the "Runt" of the group. Down south no one ever seems to want the "Runt", but I do!  Anyways....I had a long nap and then my sister Susanna came and picked me up and took me to Blythewood with her. I was super excited to see my niece, Braelynn. We ate cheetos and giggled for a while. I am planning to go on a field trip with Braelynn and her class tomorrow! Wish me luck!
My tools arrived today and I had a few random materials packed in the box.....
Thanks to April Bachtel for the yellow wire and Billy Ritter for the steel rods!

Materials: coated wire and steel
Dimensions: 2 x .75 x .25 inches

RING No. 205

Today I flew into Augusta, GA and my mom, step-dad and grandfather came to pick me up. When we got to SC, I got to go see the little puppies at my grandfathers house. They were so cute! Went to my moms house and had a delicious dinner and then watched part of a terrible movie called The Boy that Cried Werewolf.....But THEN I got to watch Cocoon, which was awesome! I forgot how awesome that movie was because it had been so long.

Below I put a picture of all the things I had to work with. I am limited because I am not at my studio and the tools that I shipped down here will not be here for a few days. I also posted a photo of all the materials I used in their original found state. Thank you to my mom and Sid for the tools and materials for tonight's ring!

Thanks for reading! Goodnight!
